French Apple Cake

This French Apple Cake is amazing. The cake was moist and almost custard-like, with a texture like a clafouti. Pair it with vanilla ice cream or cinnamon whipped cream, then you have a real winner.


3/4 cup + 1 tbsp all purpose flour
3/4 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp salt
3 very large apples, peeled, cored and chopped into 1-inch chunks
2 large eggs
3/4 cup sugar
2 tbsp rum
1 tsp vanilla
1 stick butter, melted and cooled
